Nudge Composer is a one stop shop for building any message or social engagement you want to send right in Nudge. Here are the steps to using Nudge Composer
Click on any article in the Network News or Trending Content feeds.
At the bottom of the Article Preview page you will see a Nudge button
Click on that button to access the Nudge Composer
Right now the Nudge Composer let’s you send messages through the channels you have authorized with Nudge (go to Menu/Settings if you want to authorize more channels) AND for the contacts we have the social IDs or email addresses)
Using Nudge Composer for Twitter/Facebook/Linkedin (Google Plus not available at this time)
- Select the people(s) you want to include in the message, you will see their social handles appear in the message
- If you see a orange ! exclamation point on the contact, it means we do not have the social identity for this contact, although they may be mentioned in the article
- If you want to add a person that isn’t list, click on the large blue + button on the right, and search and select the contact you want to add
- Modify the message if you want to, Note: in the bottom of the Nudge Composer there is a counter that indicates how many characters are available: Twitter 140, Facebook 2,000, Linkedin 2,000 max.
- When ready click on Send, this will send the message directly to the social account you selected - it’s that simple!
- If you click on Auto-Schedule, Nudge will determine the best time to send
To use the composer for Email
- Select the people you want to email, they will appear in the To: field. You can change the email address if there are multiple for that contact by clicking on the down arrow.
- If you want to add a person that isn’t list, click on the large blue + button on the right, and search and select the contact you want to add
- Modify the subject line and message if you want to
- When ready click on Preview in Email Client and it will move the entire message into your default email client and you can further modify it, and send it from there
- If Nudge is sending this email to the wrong email client, you need to go to your preferred email client and enable it as the default client for mailto: links
