How to get the most out of lists

The lists in Nudge are different than any other lists you have used before for these reasons:

  • You can add a purpose to a list see below
  • You can share your list with other Nudge users, to collaborate on grow relationships with people on the list
  • You can access a public list that has already been created
  • You can use the list to filter your network news feed

Lists are a great way of organizing your network. You can group people by many different ways, for example:

  • By role: CEOs and co-founders
  • By a past event: Dreamforce 2015
  • By a skill or interest: Foodies (note: in Nudge you also want to use Interest tagging, as the system will recommend content that will match a person’s interest)

You can also set a Purpose for each list you create. Let Nudge do the heavy lifting on making sure you stay in touch with the right people at the right time, based on your Purpose for that group of people.

  • Follow Them: Keep up to date with their activities
  • Promote Them: Watch their progress so you can spread their word
  • Maintain Relationships: Stay in touch or rekindle a relationship. See when they’re in the news, active on social media, and get content recommendations
  • Connect with Them: Find opportunities to reach out and initiate a relationship.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Get regular prompts to connect and grow relationships
  • Do Nothing: For contacts you want to group together. Access similar contacts in one place, but they’re never in your feed.
  • Hide Them: For contacts you see frequently. Hide them from your feed, but still find them via search

Once you have a list, you can then use it to filter the Network News feed, and only see updates from the people in that list. For example, you may be trying to raise financing for your business, and want to use your “venture list” to look through all of your venture contacts and see what is going on in their lives, before you reach out.

How do I Create a List?

  6. Upload a CSV file, by choosing the file, and clicking Upload. Note: file size limit is 2MB, and make sure it is a CSV file.
  7. Once your list is created, make sure you set a Purpose

You can add to / create lists from the Network News feed:

Love the feature! If in the future there was a way to re-order the lists so we can show the most important ones for us at the top, that would be awesome.
